Csmeron Corner Map
Day 5 and sand should be in every nook and cranny of our bikes, so after a rather good oil and spray with WD40, we pack our gear up and head for Cameron Corner via Tibooburra. With a total of 183klm to Cameron Corner, we wont actually need to pick up fuel at Tibooburra, but it will be much cheaper than Cameron Corner so stock up while you can.
Old Yellow Bus
Since we’ve only put 183Klm behind us, its only fair to go a bit further and get some photo’s of the “ Old Yellow Bus”. This old Bus ( from what I’ve learnt ) was towed out here for years after sitting as a wreck on a station, and became a camp site for drovers working the land. But as time rolled on the bus was abandoned and became something of a photographic “Mecca”.. My plan was to camp here, however I am now of the understanding that there is a sign placed next to the bus that clearly states “ NO CAMPING” as the land owner doesn’t want people there. So after our photos, we’ll look towards the dirt road towards Innaminka for a camp, to keep the journey moving north. URGENT UPDATE. Steve my good friend from the ACT who just went past this very road in July 2013 informs me that the big yellow bus is GONE.
